Goods worth US$340b transported by 77,000 China-Europe trains in past decade

STATISTICS released by the China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) show that over the past decade a staggering 77,000 China-Europe freight trains have been in operation.

The figures were released by the NDRC at the China-Europe Freight Train International Cooperation Forum held in Lianyungang, Jiangsu province, last week, according to the China Daily.

The trains transported 7.31 million TEU of goods, with a total estimated value exceeding US$340 billion. This extensive transportation network connects 217 cities in 25 European countries, solidifying its role as a vital bridge for international economic and trade co-operation.
